Over the weekend (April 26-27) the NFL held it's annual college selection draft. Packers GM Mike Sherman started off the Packers draft selecting a "safe pick" in linebacker Nick Barnett from Oregon St. However, as the NFL Draft wore on, Mike Sherman followed the principals of his predecessor Ron Wolf and wheeled and dealed his way to Kenny Peterson, DT from Ohio State.
In the closing rounds the Packers selected two hopeful return men in wide outs DeAndrew Rubin and Carl Ford. To add depth the Pack also selected a big defensive tackle, James Lee, and a hard nosed middle linebacker, Hunter Hillenmeyer.

Packers Wire The Green Bay Packers claimed QB/WR/KR Eric Crouch off the waiver wire. There has been no word as of yet if he'll sign with the Packers. However, it is thought that the Packers will give him a shot at the QB position and will sign the former Heismann Trophy winner.
